Edtech startup Vidyakul will use the funding from investors JITO Angel Network, We Founder Circle and SOSV to create educational content for Hindi and Gujarat state board students.

Bengaluru: Edtech startup Vidyakul has raised $500,000 in a seed funding round led by JITO Angel Network along with participation from We Founder Circle and SOSV.

The company will use the funding to create educational content for Hindi and Gujarat state board students, according to a statement on Wednesday. Vidyakul offers live lectures and pre-recorded courses for Class 9-12 in Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, and Hinglish to help state board students learn academics in their own language.

“We are building a platform, which is tailor-made to suit the needs of individual students, giving them a classroom-like experience,” Vidyakul founder Tarun Saini said. The platform provides a one-stop destination for all their needs related to books, notes, state board exam preparation, etc., he added.

Commenting on the investment, JITO Angel Network’s Vice Chairman Sunil Kumar Singhvi said, “Vidyakul, our 37th portfolio company, is the largest player focused on the regional market with a huge content bank.”
