Rusk Media, an Indian digital entertainment company, has closed a Rs 103 crore funding round led by early stage venture capital firm IvyCap Ventures.

The round, which was a mix of primary and secondary capital, also saw participation from LC Nueva, InfoEdge Ventures, and Woori Venture Partners, among others.

The company plans to use the capital to develop IPs and new-age content formats in India, while also accelerating its expansion into the US, European, and EMEA markets.

It last raised $9.5 million (around Rs 79 crore) in a round led by Seoul-based Daol Investment and Audacity Ventures.

“This investment will help us build newer IPs, drive expansion of our existing formats to global audiences, and grow our micro-drama viewership on the Alright TV app,” said Mayank Yadav, cofounder and chief executive, Rusk Media.

The New Delhi-based company operates as a full-stack digital entertainment platform that creates and distributes content for social media and OTT channels. Since its launch, it has released more than 50 seasons of content across over 20 fiction, reality, and live titles, retaining ownership of most of the IPs created, the company said.

In July, digital content company Chai Bisket raised $5 million in seed funding from Info Edge Ventures and General Catalyst to launch Chai Shots, a mobile-first OTT platform offering short-form fiction, or micro-dramas. In June, Bengaluru-based Flick TV raised $2.3 million in seed funding from Stellaris Venture Partners, while ReelSaga secured $2.1 million in a round led by Picus Capital in May.
