Meta names CRED founder Kunal Shah as the next head of WhatsApp
Meta has reportedly named CRED founder Kunal Shah as the next head of WhatsApp, replacing Will Cathcart, and has also reportedly made a $900 million minority investment in CRED. Shah will step back from daily operations at CRED, where Miten Sampat takes interim charge. Meta cites founder-led product experience and India-scale usage as key drivers.
