LimeChat raises $4.2 million in funding led by Stellaris Venture Partners, others

LimeChat, which offers an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot, has raised $4.2 million in a funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners, with participation from Pi Ventures, Titan Capital, and marquee angel investors.

Founded in 2020 by Aniket Bajpai and Nikhil Gupta, LimeChat aims to deliver tangible impact for direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands and consumers alike by creating user experiences using “human-level” AI chatbots. The startup plans to use the funds to strengthen its product and expand its go-to-market operations.

LimeChat is developing a conversational marketing ecosystem to help D2C brands improve retention. In the past six months, the startup claims to have clocked 3X growth and expanded its client base to over 125 brands in India and around the world, including Mamaearth, MCaffeine, Wow Skin Science, and others.
