Women-focussed career engagement platform HerKey has raised $4 million in funding from VC firms Kalaari Capital, 360 ONE Asset and angel investors including Zia Mody, Puneet Dalmia, former CEO of Citi India Pramit Jhaveri, Neeraj Bajaj, Akash Bhansali and others.

Kalaari Capital invested in the platform through its CXXO programme that seeks to promote women leaders to become the next generation of founder-CEOs.

“HerKey helps women exchange diverse knowledge, perspectives and enables them to interact without being constrained by time and location. Neha Bagaria, as founder and CEO, has done a stellar job in creating pathways for many women to come back into the workforce after a break,” said Vani Kola, founder and managing director of Kalaari Capital.

Founded by Wharton alumni Bagaria, HerKey is a platform to help women to find jobs, seeking to address the gender gap in the Indian workforce, where only 20% of women participate in the labour force. Over 10,000 companies are currently recruiting on HerKey, according to its website.

“We need to create a movement where everyone, including men, supports and champions women’s careers,” said Bagaria, founder and CEO of the company, in a statement.

HerKey, formerly known as JobsForHer, currently serves 3.5 million women and aims to scale up to reach 30 million women.
