Gnani AI, a voice-first generative AI startup, has raised $4 million (Rs 30 crore) in a funding round from early-stage focused venture capital firm Info Edge Ventures. The funds will be used for sales growth and expansion of its business across geographies.

“We already have over 100 customers in India and the US. Our primary focus remains on these two regions. We are expanding into other geographies, mainly through partnerships,” cofounder and chief executive Ganesh Gopalan said in an interaction with ET.

These geographies include the Middle East and Europe, he added.

Founded in 2016 by Gopalan and Ananth Nagaraj, the Bengaluru-based company provides a no-code, voice-first platform with various features, including omnichannel conversational automation, agent assistance, voice biometrics, and omnichannel analytics. The majority of its customers come from the banking, financial services, and insurance sectors.

"We are also present among the top OEMs in the automotive, and telecom as well as in other sectors," said Gopalan.

"In the last three years, we have grown by more than 2x and have done so profitably. We expect to continue growing our revenue by at least 2-3x in the next two years and expand our customer base in both India and the US," he added.

Gopalan said that the firm has raised $8 million in total.

Commenting on the investment, Chinmaya Sharma, partner at Info Edge Ventures said, "We are excited to invest in Gnani.ai. It is a company that exemplifies our investment thesis for AI. We like to invest in founders who are building to solve a problem and not just to find a use case for AI.”
