GEF Capital's fund leads 3SC's $15 million funding

Supply chain planning and logistics company 3SC has raised $15 million in a Series-B funding round led by GEF Capital’s South Asia Fund, its founder, Lalit Das, told ET.

The company will use the money to expand operations and explore new tech-based products.

“Covid-19 has increased the demand for warehousing spaces and it is important for the companies to identify the right place, size and location from where they can serve the maximum number of customers in minimum time possible,” said Das. “Through historical data, we help them in doing that and have seen growth in the business.”


Gurgaon-based 3SC helps companies identify warehousing location and space through data analytics. It had raised angel funds in 2013-14.

Das said the company will scale up its domestic business and also augment its geographical reach across Europe and Southeast Asia.

The company wants to strengthen its existing software as a service- and analytics as a service-based SCM solutions through organic and inorganic routes.

“With the onset of Covid, the global SCM industry is ripe for modernisation and the company is uniquely positioned as an end-to-end execution and analytics service provider suited for customers of all scale and size. Its smart logistics solutions also play a crucial role in decarbonisation of the transportation sector, which contributes more than a quarter of all energy related GHG emissions,” said Raj Pai, managing partner at GEF Capital Partners.
