Former Twitter India head Manish Maheshwari's Invact Metaversity raises funds at $33 million valuation

The fundraise by Invact Metaversity saw participation from Kishore Biyani (Future Group), T.V. Mohandas Pai (Manipal Global Education), Dr Ritesh Malik (Plaksha), and Kirthiga Reddy (former Facebook India head).

New Delhi: Invact Metaversity, a startup at the intersection of education and metaverse, on Monday said that it has raised funds from more than 70 global corporate leaders and founders of unicorns. The funding round values the Manish Maheshwari-led edtech startup at $33 million.

The funaraise saw participation from Kishore Biyani (Future Group), T.V. Mohandas Pai (Manipal Global Education), Dr Ritesh Malik (Plaksha), and Kirthiga Reddy (former Facebook India head).

Entrepreneurs from startups like Zilingo, Zerodha, Razorpay, Sheroes, Snapdeal, Koo, Cars24, Bounce, Leap Finance, Suki, etc also chipped in. Global leaders from Microsoft, Meta (previously, Facebook), Coinbase, Google, Twitter, Uber, Amazon, Softbank, among others have also joined the financing, as per a press statement from the company headquartered across San Francisco and Bengaluru.


In December last year, Maheshwari announced that he is quitting the microblogging platform Twitter India to launch his own edtech venture.


Maheshwari who is the founder and CEO of Invact Metaversity said he was overwhelmed by the faith that the investors have shown in their vision to make education available to everyone immersively at a price they can afford.
