Former Swiggy CTO Dale Vaz secures seed funding for new wealthtech venture
Swiggy’s former chief technology officer Dale Vaz on Friday said he had secured seed funding from venture capital funds Accel and Elevation Capital for his new firm, Aaritya Technologies.

The new venture is a personalised trading platform, according to Vaz’s LinkedIn profile. “I had the good fortune of working with Accel and Elevation Capital during my time at Swiggy, and I am excited to continue this partnership with Aaritya Tech… and now with funding secured, it’s back to building,” Vaz said in a post on micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter).
Vaz had joined Swiggy as the head of engineering and data science in 2018, before being appointed the group chief technology officer in early 2020.
He oversaw technology for Swiggy Food, Swiggy Instamart, Dineout, SuprDaily, Swiggy Genie, Minis, Meat, and the alcohol delivery business.
Vaz left Swiggy in April, amid a spate of exits and wider restructuring at the IPO-bound firm. In May, Nishad Kenkre, who was VP of revenue and growth for quick-commerce vertical Instamart, also exited the firm, as did Ashish Lingamneni, VP, head, brand and product marketing.
Prior to joining Swiggy, Vaz was director of software engineering at Amazon India. He began his career at Infosys.
