Edtech Brightchamps acquires live-learning platform Schola
Schola’s acquisition will help Brightchamps cement its position in the K-12 education space.

Founded by former Facebook executives Aditya Gupta and Nhu Tran Le Thanh in 2019, Schola offers live one-on-one courses to kids aged 4-15 years to help them cultivate skills like communication, public speaking and leadership, among others. It caters to students across 12 countries, including Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Japan and Malaysia.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Schola to the growing Brightchamps family. Given Schola’s profitability and sustainable growth approach with low cash-burn, we already know that there is great synergy between the two companies’ operating models. I am confident that with Aditya and Nhu at the forefront, not only will Schola deepen our presence in the more than 30 countries we’re already operational in, but will also help us introduce Brightchamps to many other parts of the world,” said Ravi Bhusan, CEO, Brightchamps.
Backed by notable investors like Premji Invest and Beenext, Brightchamps is currently valued at $650 million. So far, the company has raised about $63 million.
