Climate intelligence platform Aurassure has raised Rs 25 crore in a pre-series A round, led by Zerodha’s Rainmatter Capital and Unicorn India Ventures. The round also saw participation from Maithan Alloys.

Founded by Akanksha Priyadarshini and Vamsi Krishna in 2022, the startup claims to deliver real-time, hyperlocal visibility into environmental risks for cities and enterprises operating in increasingly volatile climates. “We have 2,000+ active sensors that capture environmental parameters like air quality, heat waves, floods, and extreme weather events. Our intelligence platform handles the analysis, prediction, forecasting, and risk assessment,” said Priyadarshini.

The company says their services are used by cities and municipalities for urban planning and policy formulation. “Google is one of our major customers. Our data is integrated into Google Maps, the air quality layer you see there is powered by our sensor network deployed across India,” Priyadarshini added.

The funds raised will be used to build AI-based intelligence to improve accuracy, location-based risk assessments, and correlation with satellite parameters. And also for expanding to other Global South countries, especially Africa, the Middle East, and parts of southeast Asia. The firm currently has clients in Brazil, said Priyadarshini.

“Climate change is a growing concern globally, and India is increasingly prioritising it. Aurassure has come at the right time. Its satellite-integrated fusion and proprietary AI-physics model delivers high-resolution air quality data,” said Bhaskar Majumdar, Managing Partner, Unicorn India Ventures. Unicorn had previously backed the company with a Rs 4 crore investment.
