The funding would give the company greater leeway to finance its first major weapons-manufacturing facility and develop an autonomous fighter jet, the Information reported earlier.
Anduril was valued at $30.5 billion in a $2.5 billion funding round in June last year, and the new valuation would be roughly double that figure.
Anduril did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment outside regular business hours.
Defence-tech startup Anduril develops solutions, including a wide range of sensors and drones, and has gained prominence amid increasing calls for low-cost autonomous defence products.
