New Delhi: UptimeAI, a startup specialising in artificial intelligence-based predictive maintenance software for heavy industries, has raised $1.5 million in seed funding from YourNest Venture Capital and other angel investors.

The investment will help UptimeAI scale its core technology development efforts and expand its presence in multiple international markets, according to a statement issued on Wednesday.

The company was founded in 2019 by Jagadish Gattu and Vamsi Yalamanchili. The company’s AI-based “plant expert” helps operators avoid surprises and maximise reliability, efficiency and productivity.

“UptimeAI enables operational excellence by bringing human-like intelligence at scale to process billions of data points and give precise answers,” UptimeAI’s CEO Jagadish Gattu said. “We are happy to have found a shared vision for this with YourNest Venture Capital, and look forward to working together to scale and take the UptimeAI value across the US, Europe and the Middle East.”

UptimeAI was one of the selected startups in the YourNest SOAR Program, which accelerated funding for deep-tech startups during the coronavirus lockdown, said Vivek Mansingh, general partner at YourNest Venture Capital.
