Salesforce to hire 1,000 graduates in AI push: CEO Marc Benioff

Salesforce is set to hire 1,000 graduates and interns, its chief executive Marc Benioff has announced in a post on X.

Benioff said the recruits would support the company’s expanding artificial intelligence (AI) products, including Agentforce and Headless360.

Benioff’s announcement was in response to venture capitalist David Sacks’ post, which said that hiring of new graduates had risen 5.6% over the past year, while unemployment among degree holders aged 20 to 24 has fallen to 5.3% from 8.9%.




The Salesforce CEO added that concerns that AI would eliminate entry-level roles were overstated, arguing instead that the technology is creating new opportunities.

However, the hiring push comes amid the news of job cuts at the company which surfaced this February. The cloud software provider cut fewer than 1,000 roles according to Business Insider, citing people familiar with the matter.

The affected roles included ‌marketing, product management, data analytics, and its AI product Agentforce.

In December, Salesforce raised its fiscal 2026 revenue and adjusted profit forecast anticipating growth in its artificial intelligence (AI) agent platform due to strong enterprise demand, sending its shares up more than 2% in extended trading.

The company expects fiscal 2026 revenues in the range of $41.45 billion to $41.55 billion, compared with its prior forecast of between $41.1 billion and $41.3 billion.
