OpenAI launches ChatGPT Pulse for Pro users

ChatGPT Pulse generates a daily digest of visual cards containing updates personalised to each user. The system draws on chat history, memory, user feedback, and, if connected, apps such as Gmail and Calendar. Users can manage what appears in their feed by curating what’s useful to them in settings and by providing direct feedback on the cards.
Each night, Pulse reviews your memory, chat history, and feedback to identify what matters most, then provides tailored updates the next day. These may include follow-ups on frequent topics, suggestions like simple dinner ideas for that evening, or guidance on longer-term goals such as triathlon training.
Topics shown in Pulse are also screened to avoid showing harmful content that violates OpenAI’s policies, the company said.
OpenAI said Pulse represents a shift in how ChatGPT functions, moving from a reactive system to a proactive assistant.
By limiting the feature initially to Pro users, OpenAI said it aims to test functionality and collect user responses before expanding access more broadly. The rollout marks part of OpenAI’s wider strategy to evolve ChatGPT into a tool that can anticipate needs and provide continuous support, rather than only responding to questions.
