KPMG International rolled out its multi-agent artificial intelligence (AI) platform, KPMG Workbench, under its multibillion-dollar investment in AI and agentic transformation, according to a company statement. The platform will underpin KPMG firms’ client delivery platforms, KPMG Digital Gateway (Tax), KPMG Velocity (Advisory) and smart audit platform, KPMG Clara.

KPMG Workbench is a network of 50 active AI agents and chatbots, with nearly 1,000 more in development, the company said. These agents are designed to work with various large language models (LLMs), serve as digital teammates to KPMG professionals to expedite results to clients.

The platform has been based on Microsoft Azure AI Foundry Services. It supports seamless communication between agents and integrates tools from KPMG’s alliance partners, including Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Workday, offering clients the option to choose from the AI model or agent best suited to their needs.

Workbench underpins KPMG’s next-gen AI-enabled service delivery, including Services as Software (SaS) offerings, combining AI tools with KPMG’s industry expertise.

The platform includes built-in data sovereignty, giving clients full control over their data and ensuring compliance with local and global regulations.

Private instances of KPMG Workbench will be available to clients across various industries, supporting the development and management of their future digital workforce, the company stated.
