Inside India's AI skilling push: 27 labs, 21 states, one still waiting

India's IndiaAI Mission has set up 27 data and AI labs so far, spread across 21 states and UTs. Another 188 labs are planned for ITIs and Polytechnics, including 28 for Andhra Pradesh — but none of these have opened yet. So far, 5,544 people have signed up for training, and 1,249 have been certified.

Data and AI labs are centres established under the IndiaAI Mission to provide hands-on training in AI and data science.
