Sharing the news on X, the company wrote, “Grok now remembers your conversations. When you ask for recommendations or advice, you’ll get personalised responses.”
The post added, “Memories are transparent: you can see exactly what Grok knows and choose what to forget.”
Users have full control over the feature, according to the company. It can be switched off in the settings under Data Controls, and individual “memories” can be deleted by selecting the icon beneath each one within the Grok web chat interface. This new functionality, currently in beta, is available via Grok.com and on both the iOS and Android Grok apps. However, it is unavailable to users in the EU and UK for now.
Android users can expect support for memory deletion soon. xAI has also announced that the memory feature will be coming to Grok on X in the near future.
