The government has extended the expo at the AI Summit by a day, meaning it will now remain open to the public till Saturday, February 21. Daily visiting hours have already been increased, with the exhibition open until 8 pm.

The announcement was made by ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) secretary S Krishnan to ensure that members of the public have the opportunity to attend the expo as access will be restricted on Thursday, February 19.

On that day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the summit, and entry will be limited due to security arrangements. As a result, the exhibition will be closed to the general public.

The India AI Impact Summit began in New Delhi on February 16 and was originally set to conclude on February 20. The event has brought together global technology leaders, policymakers, and researchers. More than 45 countries are represented, along with 600 startups, 3,000 speakers, and thousands of delegates. Organisers expect around 250,000 visitors across the various sessions and exhibition spaces.
