OpenAI’s reported acquisition of AI coding platform Windsurf for $3 billion has put the spotlight on the potential of the ‘vibe coding’ market. Windsurf, formerly Codeium, launched its AI assistant just six months ago and has already reached $40 million in annual recurring revenue.
