The government plans to support all 22 languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution on the BharatGen AI platform by June 2026, minister of state for science and technology and earth sciences Jitendra Singh told parliament on Wednesday.

The targeted milestone is expected to ensure digital tools and resources developed under the initiative will be accessible across all scheduled languages.

Implemented under the Department of Science and Technology's (DST) National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems, BharatGen aims to create inclusive artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystems accessible to users in every scheduled language.
