AI-driven health and aerospace solutions bag top honours at Hyderabad hackathon

MindCare, an AI-driven app designed to bridge the gap between mental health professionals and individuals in need of support and developed by DevSquad team bagged the grand prize at the two-day GenAI Hackathon the California-based R&D company Atmecs Global tech held in Hyderabad on October 26-27.

The DevSquad’s app promises personalised solutions through AI-powered chatbots, facial expression recognition, and fitness tracker integration.

An AI-based predictive maintenance solution, created by Arcade Flyers, for aerospace fleets, leveraging Nvidia Inference Microservices (NIM) to reduce downtime and enhance fleet management was adjudged the first runner-up, Atmecs said in a media statement.


Hitaya, a medical diagnosis app, developed by Base234 team, combining text analysis and medical imaging to identify health conditions while ensuring secure data processing through federated learning emerged the second runner up.

The jury awarded consolation prizes to RayBan and Decasafe for their innovative contributions to enhancing real-time collaboration and secure enterprise decision-making, the statement added.

The two-day event saw 4,900 registrations and 490 idea submissions, with the top five teams emerging after a rigorous evaluation. The winners stood out for their exceptional creativity and technical brilliance, Atmecs Global founder Ravi Velagapudi said. The company, he added, was committed to supporting the next generation of innovators and pushing the frontiers of technology.

The company has announced prizes of Rs 5 lakh, Rs 4 lakh and Rs 3 lakh for the top three winners.
