Accenture Plc is training its more than 700,000 staffers in agentic artificial intelligence as the consulting giant pushes to serve client demand in the area.

The company started coaching staff in the basics of the technology this month, Accenture’s Chief Executive Officer Julie Sweet said in a Bloomberg Television interview.

“Every new wave of technology has a time where you have to train and retool,” Sweet said. “Accenture’s core competency is to do that at scale.”

Companies are increasingly turning to agentic AI, which is systems that can work autonomously to complete sophisticated tasks. Accenture has been pushing to scale up its AI offering more broadly in reaction to the demand.
