Commerce Minister to inaugurate Pharma MachTech & LabNext Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam

The second edition of Pharma MachTech & LabNext Expo 2026 will open on September 7, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital, featuring interactive sessions on building India into an innovation hub for the pharma machinery and lab equipment sectors.

Co-located with iPHEX, the mega exhibition offers a common platform for industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders to explore opportunities in the pharma machinery & laboratory equipment sector.

EEPC India is organizing Pharma MachTech & LabNext Expo 2026 in collaboration with the Department of Commerce, Government of India. Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Minister for Commerce and Industry, will inaugurate the Expo. The Ministry of MSME, Government of India, also supports the event. The Governments of Gujarat & Haryana have also registered their participation at the expo.


Pankaj Chadha, Chairman, EEPC India, said in a statement, "As we move towards the goal of Viksit Bharat and make strides towards becoming a global pharma hub, there is a growing need for embedding the newest technologies at each level of production. The Pharma MachTech & LabNext Expo 2026 offers a common platform for innovators, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and related stakeholders to share their ideas for the future. The exchange of ideas at the upcoming event would help reshape the sector and build a future-ready pharma machinery ecosystem."

An Ambassador's Meet would be hosted as part of the show with Oman and Russia as partner countries. As many as 120 overseas buyers and 60 MSMEs are scheduled to participate in the upcoming event.

Several power-packed conferences are also scheduled, covering topics such as the impact of reshoring supply chains by Western economies, the role of MSMEs in India's global leadership in the pharma sector, and the challenges facing the domestic manufacturing sector.

A seminar on ‘Impact of tariff regimes, re-shoring and opportunities for MSMEs in Global South pharma value chains’ will be held on the inaugural day of the Pharma MachTech & LabNext Expo 2026.

The following day, a seminar on ‘Viksit Bharat 2047: Driving Indigenization in Pharma Capital Goods for Global Healthcare’ is scheduled. The seminar agenda includes a roadmap for transitioning from import dependence to capital goods self-reliance, policy initiatives for next-gen technologies in precision pharma, IoT, Bio-AI, and Industry 4.0 in Pharma and Lab Instrumentation.

A seminar on ‘Market Diversification Opportunities: Pharma Machinery & Laboratory Equipment’ would also be held on the same day.

An interactive session on strategies to bridge India’s regulatory and compliance ecosystem with global markets is scheduled for September 9, 2026.

Over the years, India has emerged as a very cost-competitive pharma hub. Driven by innovation, strong engineering capability, and AI-enabled manufacturing systems, the country is set to lead in the pharma machinery and lab equipment sectors. The upcoming MachTech & LabNext Expo offers a great opportunity to share ideas and adopt best practices in the pharma machinery segment. There has been immense interest from both domestic and foreign players for the expo, and we are keenly awaiting it to open," said Aakash Shah, Vice Chairman, EEPC India.

India’s domestic pharma machinery sector is growing at a CAGR of 8-10%; however, it remains highly dependent on imports for high-end equipment. Lab equipment is a key segment of the Indian pharma machinery industry and includes machinery used in pharma and medical laboratories.
