YourDost raises Rs 2.5 crore through angel funding

HYDERABAD: Technology platform for emotional counselling, YourDOST, has raised Rs 2.5 crore in angel round from a consortium of well-known entrepreneurs and investors. The 10 month-old startup based in Bengaluru allows users to share their concerns with trained psychologists and life-coaches on its platform.

RedBus founder Phanindra Sama, Aneesh Reddy of Capillary Technologies, Aprameya Radhakrishnan, co-founder of TaxiForSure, Sanjay Anandaram of SeedFund, former director of Softbank Pavan Ongole, Venk Krishnan of nuVentures and founder of education technology startup Smartur, Neeraj Jewalkar participated in the round.

“With YourDOST we aim to create awareness and reduce the stigma associated with mental wellness in our society. We are confident that technology combined with empathy and right kind of experts will go a long way in helping people,” said Richa Singh, co-founder and CEO of YourDOST.

The platform currently has a registered user base of 10,000 and a team of 75-plus experts drive close to 300 one-on-one interactions per day.
