Wingify looks to launch two new SaaS products
PUNE: A year after launching Pushcrew, a push notifications product, Wingify, a SaaS and products company, is looking to launch two new products, even as it grows Pushcrew. Paras Chopra, CEO of Wingify, told ET that the aim for 2017 was to triple the Pushcrew client base and launch a couple of new products which the team was currently working in.

"So far we have focused on the business-to-business space but we might explore other areas as well. At present, Pushcrew is being used by over 5,000 companies globally, with customers like Unicef, Lenovo and a number of companies in the ecommerce and publishing space," said Chopra.

Chopra said that unlike email marketing, push notifications were more time-sensitive and hence more likely to be effective, which is why companies were starting to opt for it. For instance, the company has realised that the best time for ecommerce websites to push these notifications is either during lunch hour or after 5 pm as people start winding down. Similarly, news websites find it more effective to send out newsbreak alerts as it is more immediate.

Further, since it's easy for customers to turn on off these notifications, it is viewed as being less intrusive. At present, Pushcrew has customers in over 30 countries, with at third of its business coming from India. In 2015, Wingify had announced the acquisition of US-based analytics firm Navilytics, which will be integrated into the upgraded version of its first product, VWO, an AB testing software.
