Vedantu gets Rs 32 crore in funding from Tiger Global Management and Accel Partners
BENGALURU: Vedantu, a Bengaluru-based edtech and online tutoring startup, has raised a Series A funding of Rs 32 crore ($5 million) from Tiger Global Management and Accel Partners.

“We were impressed with the quality of the team and their vision to raise industry standards and make learning more personalised for students across the country,” said Lee Fixel, Partner, Tiger Global Management in a statement.

Launched by four IITians, Vedantu is a platform that offers students, from grades 6 to 12, live one-on-one online tutoring sessions with teachers, college entrance exam preparations and monthly tuitions.

“Being an online platform gives the convenience to both teachers and students to teach and learn from their location across India, thus breaking down demographic barriers,” said CEO & co-founder Vamsi Krishna.
