VDeliver acquires food delivery app Towny

HYDERABAD: Corvus Ventures and Boss Consulting-backed hyperlocal logistic firm VDeliver has acquired the Towny app, which is into food delivery and other services, in a cash-and-stock deal for an undisclosed consideration.

Towny has over 25,000 app downloads and has a fleet of 250 service executives spread across 28 towns of AP and Telangana.

“This acquisition is significant for VDeliver since it allows us to reach out smaller towns across AP and Telangana,” said VDeliver’s founder Srinivas Madhavam. Towny will now be rebranded as Exprs and launched in Hyderabad.
