Uber ties up with ItzCash to reach smaller towns
BENGALURU: On-demand mobility platform Uber has tied up with digital payments solution provider ItzCash Card to penetrate deeper into smaller towns and cities. Uber will work closely with ItzCash regional sales teams to train shop owners and small travel agents on how to introduce Uber to potential consumers who may be unfamiliar with or hesitant to adopt new technologies. “A lot of these individuals may not be smartphone users so we enable these shops and small business owners to help them get familiar with the technology. And with Uber now accepting cash payments across cities in India, this move helps us move further into the interiors and hinterlands of India,” said Amit Jain, president of Uber India.
