Uber forges partnership with Cleartrip

NEW DELHI: Taxi hailing app, Uber has forged a partnership with travel portal Cleartrip under which people booking their trip through Cleartrip will be able to book an Uber from the Cleartrip app itself.

It will also enable Uber riders to receive recommendations on the Cleartrip app on exciting events and experiences to do in the city they are present in, from India’s largest collection of activities and events.

The San Francisco headquartered firm said in a statement, "Anyone booking airline tickets, and local activities on Cleartrip will now also be able to book a ride in the Cleartrip app, without leaving the site or switching apps. It’s one less thing to worry about as you get ready to hit the road."

Uber is currently present in 29 Indian cities and competes with home grown taxi hailing app Ola.
