AHMEDABAD: City-based start-up, Job On Sight (JOS), has raised an undisclosed amount of angel fund from Saurin Shah, Joint President, Corporate Affairs of Adani Group. The app-only startup focuses on finding unorganised jobs.

JOS provide location-based jobs and services using technology to spot lucrative employment opportunities for job hunters within a 5 km radius.

“JOS bridges the gap between a job provider and job seeker in more ways than one. It helps detect both on a map without using airtime” said Avinash Sondhi, cofounder & MD, Job On Sight. He said that Shah’s expertise and network would help it scale up JOS across India.

Sondhi is an Ahmedabad-based lawyer specialising in cross border deals co-founded JOS in August 2016 along with German lawyers Guenter Stallecker & Primin Schroff and Luk Abert, a French entrepreneur, who owns a staffing company of over 500 skilled and unskilled employees.

JOS provides over 25 industry sectors/verticals to choose from, where even students may look at summer internship to utilise their study breaks. The unorganised labour segment, like plumber, mason, electrician, on-hire drivers, housekeepers and others, can use the platform to get themselves hired on real time basis.
