BENGALURU: theKarrier, which provides truck services within cities on demand, has raised seed funding of Rs 1.5 crore from Sol Primero, Outbox Ventures, and Frankly.me founder Nikunj Jain.

Founded in Bengaluru in December, theKarrier was started as a technology platform to organize the fragmented last-mile logistics industry, and runs on a pay-by-kilometer model. It will use the money raised to expand to four more cities this year. TheKarrier has 300 vehicles and executes 1,000 orders a month for clients including Delhivery and Flipkart.

“The primary pain point in this segment is getting the right vehicle at the right time, place and price,” said Aravind Sanka, an IIT alumnus who cofounded the startup with Pavan Guntupalli and Rishikesh Ramanath. “The technology that we have developed acts as a major differentiator to tackle this challenge.”
