HYDERABAD: Tata Capital has committed to investing a sizeable sum in the corpus earmarked for the Telangana state government-run startup incubator, T-Hub. Details such as fund management and size of commitment will be finalized shortly, indicated Jayesh Ranjan, IT Secretary for the Telangana State.

"The corpus which will be of Rs 10 crore to start with has evinced interest from multiple institutional and individual investors. The details of Tata Capital’s contribution to Telangana Hub Seed Innovation Fund will be finalized over the next week," said Jayesh Ranjan.

He added that at the incubator will provide a seed capital to startups working out of the facility and will be operational by September. He was interacting with the media to brief them on the upcoming startup conference, August Fest being organized by Eat Sleep Drink Start-ups.

The international conference August Fest to be held on August 29 and 30 in Hyderabad will see participation from 200-plus Indian startups as well as global members of the startup ecosystem including Cheryl Yeoh, CEO of MAGIC Accelerator in Malaysia, Hugh Mason of JFDI Accelerator in Singapore and Ravi Gururaj from NASSCOM.
