Startup My Dental Plan to brush up on dental hygiene
BENGALURU: Over 18,000 school children will gather a school in suburban Bengaluru in one of the largest initiatives of its kind to promote oral health organised by startup My Dental Plan.

The initiative will include screening students from the local schools for dental ailments through regular clinics, group practice and demo videos on brushing techniques.

"Almost about 10,000 kids have been scree ned,in accordance with the parameters of WHO," said Girish Rao, maxillofacial surgeon and chief operating officer of My Dental Plan, an organised comprehensive effort that aims to offer discounted uniform pricing of dental services to civilians and increase preventive awareness, and has partnered with over 1,000 individual dental practitioners in India.

Rao, who started the company along with Anand Krishna and Mohinder Narula, has tied up with public and private schools, and colleges in Karnataka.
