Shuttl to foray into intercity travel space
NEW DELHI: Gurgaon-based bus aggregator Shuttl is expanding from its core service of providing commuting option to office goers to an intercity travel service. Called ‘Shuttl Rentals’, it will provide flexible packages to its commuters planning a weekend getaway outside the National Capital Territory.

Users can make group bookings online through the company’s website or by email. Buses with seat capacity options of 12, 20, 28 and 40 will be available for hire. Commuters will have to make a nominal advance payment to confirm booking.

Another instalment has to be paid before embarking on the journey and the balance at the end of the trip. "We have witnessed a very encouraging demand in Shuttl rental bookings in the month of November itself and are expecting the booking numbers to go up during this time of the year being the wedding season," cofounder Amit Singh said.

Started as a pilot project in September, Shuttl Rental is a service where the company will utilise its existing inventory during the weekend when there is less office rush.

Shuttl will provide professionally trained drivers with the best in class vehicles to make the journey comfortable and safe, he said. With over 50 long routes and more than 300 buses in Delhi and NCR region, Shuttl provides an assured seat through its app.
