NEW DELHI: Sabre Corporation, a travel technology solution provider, is setting up a quality assurance centre of excellence (CoE) at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women ( IGDTUW).

“The incubation centre is a first of its kind in the Indian market focused on an all-women’s technical university and will bring awareness of test engineering practices, processes and the critical role it plays in the software development lifecycle,” said Shail Maniar, vice-president of Sabre India.

Sabre and IGDTUW have signed a memorandum of understanding to set up the centre that will also offer workshops and webinars in addition to a six-month internship programme at Sabre’s development centre in Bangalore. On successful participation in the CoE programme and completion of the internship, Sabre will also facilitate International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) certification for students based on their performance, according to a press release.
