RxPrism to set up hub in London

PUNE: RxPrism Health Systems, a customer engagement firm focusing on the healthcare sector, will be setting up an innovation hub in London with an investment of $2 million.

The UK centre is expected to be functional by the end of this year, following which it will set up another innovation hub in the US next year, according to Maruthi Viswanathan, the company's CEO.

RxPrism is one of the startups that has been selected for a UK launch through the `India Emerging 20' programme by the Mayor of London's inward investment company, London Partners, and it will use this hub to expand its presence in the UK and the EU region.

Viswanathan said there were multiple factors behind picking London for the first international centre. "I believe that London is the ideal place for attracting the best talents from the medical technology standpoint - more than 15 institutes in the UK offer specific courses in medical technology. It also has a taxation system favourable for IPcentric businesses that own patents," he said.

While part of the investment for the centre would come from the company's innovation fund, the rest would be funded by UK-based venture capitalists, he said.

The company provides solutions to engage physicians and patients using artificial intelligence-based patient case simulations, interactive virtual reality platforms and virtual patient-assistance apps for all chronic diseases.
