Uniken has received four requests for pilot projects from large enterprises in the US in the past two months, CEO Sanjay Deshpande told ET.

BENGALURU: Pune-based cyber security firm Uniken is entering the American market to sell its digital security technology that has been designed to protect large companies from sophisticated online attacks.

Uniken has received four requests for pilot projects from large enterprises in the US in the past two months, CEO Sanjay Deshpande told ET, adding that company will also set up offices and hiring talent in that country.

The company, founded by a team of senior executives who quit Infosys, has hired top American security experts Thane Plambeck and Greg Whitehead to its technology advisory council. Plambeck and Whitehead, who are also founders of Silicon Valley-based start-up incubator Counterwave Inc, will help Uniken sell its product in new markets.

Menny Barzilay, a former chief information security officer with the Israeli defence forces has joined Uniken as chief security evangelist and will help the firm in its global market development efforts.
