Price comparison app ShopInSync raises angel round from top Yahoo execs
Working on the affiliate model, the app launched today allows users to start a thread with close friends and family before making a purchase online.

The app launched by former Yahoo product management and revenue executive Raj Ramaswamy along with his colleague Ashish Parnami has raised an undisclosed amount from US-based investors including vice president of cloud platform at Yahoo, Baharat Vemuri and Vijay Ragavan, co-founder of San Francisco startup Jabber Labs.
Working on the affiliate model, the app launched today allows users to start a thread with close friends and family before making a purchase online. “We wanted to give the users a clean shopping experience. Going ahead, we will aim to make the app personalised,” said co-founder Raj Ramaswamy, adding that the app works with the affiliate network of all major marketplace players and will generate additional revenues based on advertising on the platform.
