Medikoe, a Bengaluru-based online platform connecting users with hospitals, diagnostic and wellness centres, and pharmacies, has raised $100,000.

Medikoe, a Bengaluru-based online platform connecting users with hospitals, diagnostic and wellness centres, and pharmacies, has raised $100,000 (about Rs 66 lakh) in angel funding from Anil Menon, chief executive of CMS Computers Limited.

The company, which started in October, aims to use the money to expand to Mumbai and Delhi-National Capital Region by the end of this year. "We also want to reach more than 20 tier -2 and tier-3 cities across seven states by March 2016," said Sreevalsan Menon, founder and CEO of Medikoe.

Medikoe said it has catered to around 1,800 users since its inception. It has registered more than 1,500 healthcare and wellness partners, including Manipal Hospitals, Jiyo Natural (healthy food), Nightingales Home Care and Positive Homeopathy.

The startup competes with established online healthcare firms such as Practo, Lybrate and Ziffi.
