Online gifting portal and gift card aggregator Gift Cards India raises funding
BENGALURU: Online gifting portal and gift card aggregator GiftCardsIndia.in(GCI) has raised an undisclosed investment from early-stage seed funding firm Blume Ventures and Rajan Anandan, managing director, Google India.

The Mumbai-based startup has also acquired Mumbai-based social gifting website “Giftery”.

"We are very excited to work with Rajan from Google and the Blume team. They have been some of the biggest supporters of startups in India. We will continue to press forward and build our footprint in the Indian market for the long run,” said Cory York, co-founder, GCI that has brand partners such as Flipkart, Lifestyle, Big Bazaar, Shoppers Stop, Jabong, Titan, Domino’s Pizza and ITC Hotels.

GCI offers Gift Vouchers and Cards across several categories such as electronics, apparel, hotels and restaurants, departmental stores, among others, and also offers multiple payment options.

The company expects to notch up sales of Rs 100 crore in the next two years.

The latest round of funding will be used to expand the team and develop new products.
