Online education venture UpGrad rolls out course on entrepreneurship

MUMBAI: Online education venture UpGrad - co-founded by Ronnie Screwvala, Mayank Kumar, Ravijot Chugh and Phalgun Kompalli - has launched a 15-week intensive online programme called “StartUp with UpGrad”, for aspiring entrepreneurs. The company launched its application process for the course, which is designed to provide valuable insights from India’s leading entrepreneurs and frameworks from leading faculty members.

“We have designed our entrepreneurship programme to provide a clear roadmap to aspiring entrepreneurs on things to focus on while starting a new business. As part of the programme, students will learn from the experiences of 30+ leading entrepreneurs, understand frameworks from top faculty members and apply these learnings to their own venture ideas,” said Mayank Kumar, co-founder and managing director.

The course will provide young Indian professionals clarity on the way ahead for their entrepreneurial journey, through live lectures, case studies, group assignments and real-life application. The course will include learnings from Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola Cabs; Radhika Aggarwal, ShopClues; VSS Mani, JustDial; Rishi Malhotra, Saavn; Pankaj Chaddah, Zomato, among others.

The course will also act as a platform for networking and collaboration, enabling students to interact with each other. It will provide insights into real-life successes and mistakes from the founders of established start-ups.
