NEW DELHI: Banking and payment productsfocused application programming interface (API) platform Yap has scooped up Rs 10 crore in angel funding from investors including Amrish Rau, former chief executive of PayU India; Kunal Shah, founder of Cred; and Jitendra Gupta, founder of neobank, Jupiter.

Among others who participated in the startup’s maiden funding round are Vikram Chachra, founding partner of early-stage venture capital firm 8i Ventures,; Abhishant Pant, founder of The FinTech MeetUp; and Peifu Hsieh, cofounder of fintech startup Karbon.

The firm, which had been largely bootstrapped so far, counts a number of private banks among its clients, including Yes Bank, DCB Bank and Equitas Small Fin Bank.
