Hyderabad: WhistleDrive, Hyderabad-headquartered employee transportation company, has raised Rs 72 crore in Series-B funding from the Chicago-based Colosseum Group and aims to grow tenfold with fresh funds over the next 12 months.

Providing technology enabled fleet services for companies, WhistleDrive currently operates more than 700 fleets, spread across Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.

“We are looking to spread our operations to two more key Indian cities — first to Pune and then Delhi-NCR and invest in operational and tech scaling,” chief executive Rakesh Munnanooru told ET.

At present, WhistleDrive serves 32 companies with more than 1,00,000 trips a month to transport over 15,000 employees to their offices daily. Expanding fleet as a master transportation vendor and fast-tracking customer acquisition should help the company reach a million trips a month over the next 12 months, he said.
