VR player Digital Domain to host VR Hackathon on March 10-11 in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Digital Domain India on Tuesday announced a Virtual Reality Hackathon on March 10-11 to spread awareness about the career opportunities and to attract talent from other industries mainly the developer community.

Candidates can apply through https://goo.gl/VnDv6U for participation and the qualifying candidates will proceed to the final coding challenge. At the end, shortlisted candidates might be absorbed in the company apart from handing out cash prizes.

We are currently focusing on strengthening our VR/AR and tech development workforce in Hyderabad as an extension to our North American teams and we believe the Hackathon will be our window to the large developer community in the state and elsewhere looking for challenging opportunities."


Heads of the respective functions from Digital Domain will travel from Los Angeles to Hyderabad to judge, evaluate and declare the winners. Mentors from DDI will also be available during the Hackathon with preset evaluation parameters to guide and support participants.

The Digital Domain VR Platform is a broadcast-grade solution for distributing live and pre-rendered 360 experiences to audiences worldwide across movie devices, HMDs and desktops. The company with more than 40 patents to their credit, in November last year opened its fifth global studio and India’s first facility in Hyderabad.
