Vogo beefs up leadership team with key hires from Rivigo, Nestaway

In December, Vogo’s largest investor and ride hailing app Ola said it will finance 100,000 scooters for Vogo, worth $100 million signaling the company's interest the two-wheeler market.

Vogo operates a scooter sharing network, that allows users to pick up scooters from designated pickup points throughout the city and drop them at any other designated point at the end of the ride.
Scooter sharing startup Vogo has hired Rivigo’s Sharath Parameswaran and Nestaway’s Prasanth Prabhakar as vice president of growth and operations respectively.

“Vogo has been growing at an incredible pace - over 30 times in the last few months. ..We look forward to leveraging their deep experience in consumer internet and logistics to drive our rapid scale up plans for 2019,” said Padmanabhan Balakrishnan, cofounder, and COO, Vogo.

Parameswaran will lead growth and expansion for Vogo, while Prabhakar will run operations and customer experience.


In December, Vogo’s largest investor and ride hailing app Ola said it will finance 100,000 scooters for Vogo, worth $100 million signaling the company's interest the two-wheeler market. It also counts Matrix Venture Partners and Stellaris Venture Partners as investors.

Vogo operates a scooter sharing network, that allows users to pick up scooters from designated pickup points throughout the city and drop them at any other designated point at the end of the ride. The company was founded in 2016 by Anand Ayyadurai, Padmanabhan Balakrishnan and Sanchit Mittal.

It competes with Bounce, earlier known as Metrobikes, which lets a user pick up and drop scooter from any closest location. Bounce is backed by Sequoia Capital and Accel Partners.
