Uber launches 'uberKUTCHERY' in Chennai

The uberkutchery service would be available till the first week of January whereby Uber representatives at the kiosks would ensure riders can get ride to the next sabha or back home.

Uber launches 'uberKUTCHERY' in Chennai
CHENNAI: Taxi aggregator Uber on Monday launched 'uberKUTCHERY' in the southern metropolitan of Chennai, to serve sabha goers and organisations looking to attend the music concerts organised during the 'Margazhi' (December Music month) season.

Uber would also launch Sabha-Hop and Ride to concerts based on demand, it said in a press release.

The company said that it has also set up ticketing kiosks at at various sabhas including Vani Mahal, Brahma Gana Sabha, Parthasarathy Sabha, Hamsadhwani Youth Hostel, Nada Sudha, Narada Gana Sabha and Mylapore Fine Arts. All these venues have organized concerts of leading carnatic singers, musicians and dancers beginning from the first week of December, ending in the second week of January.


The uberkutchery service would be available till the first week of January whereby Uber representatives at the kiosks would ensure riders can get ride to the next sabha or back home.

Uber-Chennai, General Manager, Arjun Srinivasan said "We are excited to celebrate this Margazhi season by doing what we do best -- celebrating cities...Riders can now sabha-hop with ease and not worry about parking for a ride back home."
