Twitter boards Paytm’s app

BENGALURU: Paytm has partnered with Twitter to integrate Twitter Highlights on to its app, as part of efforts to get users to keep coming back to the app even if it is not for payments.

As part of efforts to convert itself into a super app, Paytm is adding content — news, astrology to trending content on Twitter — into the Paytm Inbox, Siddharth Pandey, VP of Paytm, said.

“Consumers will be able to check different issues that are trending on Twitter, news, events and others; once they click on a specific element, it will take them to a web view of the link,” he said.
