Swiggy co-founder Rahul Jamini moves out to join Pesto Tech

Online food delivery platform Swiggy, on Thursday, announced that its co-founder Rahul Jaimini has quit the firm and is joining career accelerator startup Pesto Tech as co-founder.

Swiggy CEO Sriharsha Majety who co-founded the firm in 2014 with Jaimini and Nandan Reddy, bid adieu to his co-founder in a Twitter post.

“It's the end of an era for @swiggy_in ! Countless memories creating this company from scratch over 6 years, and thankful to @rahuljaimini for every one of them,” read the Tweet.



Majety added that Jaimini will continue to remain a board member and shareholder of the company. At Swiggy, Jaimini was instrumental in building the firm’s technology backbone and led the functions of engineering, analytics and IT team, including Swiggy Labs. The functions will now be taken over by Dale Vez, the head of engineering and data science.

In an email that went out to the Swiggy team on Thursday, Majety penned down a heartfelt note for Jaimini about their six-year journey and bid him farewell.

“Thanks again, Rahul, for making a dream come true, for being the great friend and person that you are, and for all the amazing memories building this rocketship. Godspeed!,” the note read.
