BENGALURU: A Paytm employee in Gurugram has tested positive for Covid-19.

The employee had returned from a personal trip to Italy earlier this week. “One of our colleagues based out of Gurugram office who recently returned from Italy post a vacation has sadly been tested positive for Coronavirus. He is receiving appropriate treatment,” a Paytm spokesperson said. He has been admitted in Safdarjung Hospital.

Paytm’s headquarters in Noida, as well as its office in Gurugram, will be closed for a few days to decontaminate the workplace.


The company clarified that this will not impact its daily operations and Paytm services will continue as usual. “As a precautionary measure, we have suggested his team members to get health tests done immediately. We have also advised all our colleagues to work from home for a couple of days while we get our offices sanitised,” the spokesperson said.
